FAQs

Is Ambassador General Store a subscription service?
No, we are not a subscription service, our Home Dining and Product Boxes can be ordered as and when you need them.

Is there a minimum order amount?
Minimum order is £50 – simply jump onto our products page and place your order for home delivery with any or all of our boxes.

How can I contact customer care?
All orders are placed online, if there’s something wrong you can complete a request with our customer care team by emailing info@ambassadorgeneralstore.com

Is it possible to change my order after it has been placed?
If changes are required before the cut off window for an order, please email info@ambassadorgeneralstore.com and we will try to get them made for you.

Where does Ambassador deliver?
We deliver to address throughout England and Wales. Unfortunately we are not yet able to deliver into Scotland, Northern Island or mainland Europe. View our delivery map here

When are the boxes delivered?
Generally, the boxes are delivered between 7am and 9pm on Fridays. Occasionally, our boxes may be held overnight by the courier and delivered on Saturdays; if this is the case we will let you known as soon as possible. Please note, we work with trusted courier companies but unfortunately at particularly busy times when their network reaches capacity there can be delays to deliveries. Due to a shift in courier policy, deliveries are made without the need for a signature so your order will be left in a safe place if you are not in or are unable to answer the door. 

How are the ingredients kept fresh during transit and how should I store them?
Our dinner menus come with insulation bags & ice packs (you can recycle most of our packaging, and the insulation is compostable), so they stay cool during transit until you receive your delivery and unpack into the fridge. Once received, the box should be packed away upon arrival in the fridge and your menu box should be eaten that night or within 48 hours.

Where does Ambassador source ingredients from?
We're proud to be supporting and collaborating with our long-standing food suppliers by offering home-delivered, restaurant-quality produce boxes.

Do you offer vegetarian recipes or cater to vegans?
Absolutely, we have a box specially curated for our vegetarian lovers by the team at Gymkhana, but also have other vegetarian options available if you prefer to ‘build your own box’.

Do I need ingredients in addition to the goods delivered?
For our Home Dining boxes you may need just a few pantry staples such as oil and salt. You’ll also require the basic cooking equipment indicated on the product page to prepare the meals.

What if I have allergies and dietary requirements?
Our meals are prepared in a kitchen whose environment contains eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, sesame, crustaceans, soy, nuts, tree nuts, gluten, lupin and sulphites. Though best practices are used in preparing the meal, inadvertent cross-contamination may occur. We cannot guarantee the complete absence of these allergens.

Can I order in advance for future days/weeks?
Yes, we currently open up Friday deliveries for at least four weeks at a time (except bank holidays, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve).

Where can I track my order?
Once our logistics partner has dispatched your delivery, you will receive a SMS with live tracking details. If you have any issues please contact us.

Can I order and pay over the phone?
All orders are taken and processed online at your convenience.

Can I change my nominated delivery window after my order has been placed?
Your delivery window can be changed up until midnight on the Sunday prior to your delivery.
